Application and Registration

Please complete and submit your Team Application and Team Registration forms no later than May 1, 2022. Waiting List registrations must be received by July 1, 2022.

Accepted/Registered teams will be listed online as the date of the Competition gets closer. You can also download and review the Team Orientation Schedule for more information.

 

USA Teams

For the 2020 IMRC, the USA will be represented by 5 competing teams representing the following: The First Place and Second Place Teams from the 2019 Coal and 2020 Metal/ NonMetal National Contests, and the MSHA Mine Emergency Unit. Additional Applications from USA Teams will be placed on the Competition Waiting List.

The two (2) qualifying US Metal/Nonmetal Teams shall complete the online registration upon completion of their 2020 National Mine Rescue Contest.

International Teams

Each nation will be guaranteed two (2) team entries, after which teams applying from that nation will be placed on the Competition Waiting List. International teams applying for one of the two guaranteed national entries will qualify on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Judges

Only qualified individuals will be accepted as judges for IMRC 2020 USA. View the Judges' Criteria to ensure you meet the requirements prior to completing and returning the Judges' Application and Judges' Registration forms. 

 

Vendors

Registration includes one table and two chairs, one ticket to the Opening Ceremony (Glade Springs Resort), and one ticket to the Awards Banquet.  Extra tickets are available at the registration table. To Register as a Vendor at the 2020 International Mines Rescue Competition, complete the Vendor Registration form.

 

Competition Observors

All those wishing to observe the 2020 IMRC must register for either a "Casual - One Day" type entry or attendance to the "Entire Competition," including Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Complete the Observer's Registration form no later than August 1, 2022 to attend.

ALL Observers must have a valid form of ID such as a Driver’s License to present to Security upon arrival and to gain entrance to the National Mine Health and Safety Academy. ALL Observers must check in at the 2020 IMRC Registration/Information Desk and present a valid form of ID such as a Driver’s License. Observers will be given a badge that must be worn at all times. 

Observers wishing to attend the entire IMRC 2020 Competition, including the Opening and Closing Ceremonies must pay a fee of $500 per person. Casual observers (1 day) wishing to attend the Opening and Closing Ceremony must purchase tickets to these events at the registration desk. ALL Observers will be responsible for their own transportation, lodging, and meals during the event.
